Memorial Weekend 2011

This weekend was very eventful for us. We started out on Thurs. night going to my Aunt Lori's viewing and her funeral on Friday. The service was very nice everyone involved did a wonderful job. I don't know how my cousins kept it together so well during their talks at the funeral. I would have been a blubbering idiot the whole time. My cousin Trista gave the life sketch and my other cousin Sean gave a talk. It was very, very good! I enjoyed seeing my cousins and family that I haven't seen for years. My thoughts and prayers are still with them at this time and will be for awhile. I can't imagine how hard that would be to lose your parents at such a young age. My heart goes out to them and shows how we should enjoy one another more cause time passes by so fast. Anyone of us could die at any moment from who knows what. It's a dangerous world out there!
Anyway, Saturday was nice we got to go to the park and eat a picnic dinner with G-ma & G-pa Hale. It was so nice to be with family. I really enjoy those times being with family and enjoying one anothers company. Then we went back to G-ma K. house to spend the night and to go to church the next day. Church was interesting during the combined 5th Sunday lessons. A lot of the house that are located down by the river, just a few miles from my parents house are really being affected by the amount of water being let down from the dam, rain & snow pack this year. So they talked about what they have done to prepare these homes from flooding and what they are still planning to do in case of an total FLOOD!! They have been sandbagging for about two weeks and are still sandbagging every night this week to prevent homes from totally being wiped out. I am praying that there efforts will work and the water will let up so that these homes can be saved.

Anyway I married the most wonderful guy that stands by me through anything. He is willing to help me out any way possible even if it means doing laundry or dishes. He truly is my best friend and can't wait to spent many more wonderful years with him and our little family. We spoiled ourselves this year and we are going to Las Vegas next week. We are going to see the town and go to the Lion King show. I can't wait!!! Happy Anniversary BABE!!! I LOVE U!

Field Trip

Today Bryce had what his school calls the pacer field trip. During the school year the kids are encouraged to walk and after they walk so many miles they get a pacer to put on a necklace. It looks like a little person that they can put on a chain and wear around for bragging rights, I guess. Some of the kids get pretty involved in it and I have seen kids with lots of pacers around their necks. The school keeps track of each class and at the end of the year the class with the most wins something special. Anyway today we walked from Mtn. View school to the park next to the pool. They had lunch for you to eat with your kids. It was quite a walk for me with my little pregnant walk, it's not quite a waddle, well... maybe just a little. After it was over I walked home with MaKenna and Russell walked back with Bryce's class and got the car. I am glad we were able to share this field trip with Bryce's and his last year at Mtn.View.

Remembering her

Just got the call from my mom and they were headed to Pocatello to be with friends and family for my Aunt Lori. They have all gathered to see her go, yes, this will be her last day on this earth. She has struggled with her health all her life, I don't remember when she wasn't sick. She has been on a ventilator for about a week. The doctors have said that the only way she can live is to permantly be on a tracheotomy tube. They asked her if she wanted to do that she said no she didn't want that. I think it is her time to go and she will certainly be in a better place with a whole new body. I was remembering a some things about her and even though she was always sick she always smiled & laughed. She was willing to help you with anything at anytime you just had to ask. She was a wonderfull seamstress and loved to decorate things. She did my flowers for my wedding and altered my dress so I could wear it to the temple to marry my sweetie. We went camping a lot when we were kids with g-ma & g-pa and she always had a fun game planned to play. She was a fun lady and she led a good life. Loves, Hugs-n-Kisses to you Aunt Lori! We will miss you!!

Feeling Bad

Yesterday my little sister called me and told me that our Aunt Lori was in the hospital in Pocatello in the ICU on a ventilator. She said that mom called her and told her about it and said it wasn't looking so good. The Dr. has advised them to call family in because it wasn't looking too good. When she told me this I immediately said, "Well, "It's about time for her to go." I felt bad after saying it and realized that it sounded kind of heartless. Then I wondered am I a heartless person? Do I really care about others and there problems? It seems that it is hard to take on other peoples problem when you yourself are struggling with your own. So am I a compassionate person? I hope so because sometimes I wonder.
My aunt has struggling with her health for most of her life. I can't remember when she wasn't sick. She has been in and out of the hospital many, many, many times in her life. This isn't the first time she has been in ICU on a ventilator. I remember when I was a kid going over to my cousins house and my cousin having to take care of her mom a lot while she was growing up. Bless her heart! How would that be knowing that your mother will never ever get better and having to help take care of her. I was thinking that I don't know if I could have done that when I was younger, an adolescent. It would be hard. I know that I could do it now that I am an adult, but when you are a child. WOW! Is all I have to say. So my thoughts and prayers are with my aunt and her family at this time and I am hoping for the best. If she does pass on she will certainly be in a better place. She will have a better body than she does now and she will be able to see her relatives that have gone on before her.

Dr. Appointment

This may be boring to some but I want to do this for me and our family so we can look back and remember the past. I went to the Dr. today my Dr. is Jeppson. The heartbeat is good & strong 140/145, my blood pressure is normal, I didn't gain any weight, WOOHOO! We will have an ultra sound on June 8th. Hopefully we will find out what we are having. The names we are thinking of for a girl are Ciara, Cassie, Courtnie for a girl so far. For a boy Devin, Seth, Drew, or Brenick, so far. My husband likes Vernon for a boy (but he is just kidding it is a running joke in our house).

We're Expecting

Finally, I figured out how to log in to my blog again. It's been so long I forgot my password. I know I am a terrible blogger. I have decided to be better about it because I love reading other people's blogs. Your lives seem so much more fun than mine. Anyway the big news is our house is that we are going to have another baby. Yes, I'm pregnant! The first couple of months were horrible with me worshipping the porclein god a lot. It is now starting to get better with not so much sickness!! YEA!! So I haven't had my first official utlrasound but by my calculations I am due the end of October/November that 1st week. The boys want a brother, Kenna wants a sister, just one though, that is what she says. Dad & I are hoping for another girl to even out our little family, but a happy healthy baby will be just fine with us!!
